Day 14: Describe a moment you had with him/her last time you were together.

Emily:  “One moment that pulls on my heart strings was moments before Jen had to leave to drive back up to Ohio.  We went and had breakfast at Waffle House where we sat in silence at the end of our meals, writing each other love notes to keep with us.  After I paid for breakfast, we went and got back in her car, giving each other our notes.  We read them, me bawling, like I always do, before heading to the gas station, and then to my house.  We sat on the sofa in the TV room and said more goodbyes and taking one last picture together.  Minutes later I watched her pull out of my driveway.  I had to stick around in the garage and ‘put myself together’ before going back in and pretending that I was okay.  Not necessarily a ‘happy’ moment, but it was a precious one.  I miss you.”

Jen:  “One of the funniest moments of our relationship thus far happened the last time we were together. We were sleeping in the same bed in Em’s room, unbeknownst to her Mom who isn’t as aware of Em’s relationship status. Anyway, we were sleeping peacefully and all of a sudden her mom bursts through the door and asked where she was. Thankfully Em is a stomach sleeper and was burrowed under the covers next to me, so I quickly threw the covers over her beautiful, but telling red hair and whispered groggily, “I thought she went to the bathroom.” My heart was pounding as she left, not having seen Emily, and then I collapsed on the bed, took one look at my beautiful love in the morning light, her eyes wide open and scared looking and we burst into hysterical giggles. It may not have been the most romantic moment, but it’s one we will be telling for years to come.”
